Bolton Taxi Medical

Bolton council has certain medical requirements you will need to meet to demonstrate you are fit to drive. Taxi medicals are completed to a DVLA Group 2 medical standard. Obtaining a Bolton council medical certificate is an easy process with Health Drive.

HGV/LGV Medical - Group 2 Bus or Lorry Licence

To obtain a group 2 bus or lorry licence, you need to undertake a medical examination. The medical is needed when you first apply for a HGV/LGV licence. After that it is required every 5 years from the age of 45 until 65. After you turn 65, the medical examination is required every year.

PCV/PSV Medical

Drivers for PSV (Public Service Vehicle) and PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicles) must undertake a compulsory medical before applying for a provisional category D licence. A renewal must be completed every 5 years from the age of 45 until 65. After which it become mandatory to complete annually.

The medical includes physical examination, a medical history including blood pressure check to meet the DVLA standard. To meet the DVLA group 2 standard, blood pressure must not consistently exceed 179/99.

The doctor will take a medication history and check over the medication you are currently taking.

The medical takes around 15 minutes to complete.
